If you suspect you might have a food intolerance, use the Food Sensitive Life info with the Detection Diet 35 Day Journal and Compleat Guides (inc. Shopping Guides, Meal Guides and Recipes) to identify your food intolerance starting on a Tuesday.
If you have decided to exclude foods that make you sick, there are some serious adjustments to make. Yes, some effort is required but it’s well worth it to remain free of all those miserable symptoms. There are five important rules:
|
Rule #1
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR or Healthcare Professional when considering a change in the way you eat. Nothing can replace the care and advice of a trusted family physician.
Rule #2
KNOW WHAT YOU ARE EATING You cannot afford to eat indiscriminately. If you don’t know what’s in a food, ASK! And eat FRESH rather than processed food wherever possible.
Rule #3
READ LABELS to check the ingredients on everything: food packets, cans, frozen foods, sauces, soups, soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, tablets, iron supplements, capsules, medicines, vitamins... everything!
Rule #4
CONSIDER MULTIPLE FOOD SENSITIVITIES. - Many people who are Celiac also have problems with Dairy. They need to choose foods that are Gluten-free AND Dairy-free.
- Some others are allergic to Casein the milk protein, as well as having Lactose Intolerance. In this case a Dairy-free diet will show improvements in both the allergy and Lactose Intolerance symptoms.
