Testing for food intolerance 12 Apr 2009

Have you been told to stop eating certain foods - but still suffer some symptoms? That's no good! It is our main purpose to bring relief to people who suffer symptoms of untreated food intolerance.

There are many types of clinical testing available. However after all the technology is finished, doctors usually advise patients to use a journal - do an Elimination Diet - the only true identification of food sensitivity.

Your medical doctor (GP) may use:

  • Several kinds of blood tests
  • Hydrogen breath testing
  • Allergy testing (eg. by skin pinprick method)
  • Gastroscopy (tube guided into stomach while under anaesthetic)
  • Intestinal biopsy (small tissue sample taken under anaesthetic)
  • Stool (fecal) analysis
  • Skin sample analysis (eg. with flaking skin infections)
  • Genital swab (eg. for fungal conditions)
A naturopath or alternative medicine practitioner may use:
  • Iridology (diagnosis by looking into the iris of the eyes) also called homeopathy
  • Examination of eyes, skin, tongue and pulses
  • Vega testing (small electrical currents sent through person and food)
  • Reflexology - pressing on soles of feet
  • Other methods
Diagnostic Test Results are only a Guide
While different people get different results, most of these tests only give an indication of food intolerance. Almost all professionals come to the same point: the patient is advised to do some kind of elimination diet to confirm the test results.

  • In fact the only method that positively identifies food intolerance is the Elimination Diet.
  • And it is simple, safe, non-invasive, drug-free and of course painless!
If you still have symptoms despite all the tests, then you still have symptoms. And nobody should try and tell you different!

As for me, I know my body. And if I am still getting the headache, nausea, hives or whatever, then I am not dreaming . . . it's real! The bottom line is only you know your symptoms and sometimes only you can figure it out.

That's why we designed the brilliant Detection Diet in the Tuesday Club. You start by writing down everything you eat and drink. Then write down all the symptoms you get (or don't get) and how severe they were.

Could you do that?

Then at regular intervals review your notes. You should have phases for 'control', 'review' and 'test' to track what you are doing and challenge yourself with different foods periodically. If you get a reaction (eg. headache, flatulence, bloating etc.) be sure to wait a day or two until your body is clear of that food, before trying another.

Sounds complicated? Not! It's EASY! Because the Detection Diet Journal walks you through it step by step.

You and your journal should get to the bottom of your symptoms, if you track and monitor everything properly. You know your body better than anyone.

The Detection Diet Journal is guaranteed to find your food intolerance or your money will be refunded.

The Tuesday Club is only a few dollars a week. Check for current offers
